Dental Surgery and Sedation in KelownaAllison Munro
The term “Dental Surgery” can invoke a feeling of dread, and anxiety in even the bravest of souls. Apparently, it was the only thing that could make Chuck Norris break a cold sweat (j/k). But, it doesn’t have to be that way, we’ve made it easy and some would say, care free.
First off, what is classified as dental surgery? Well, it can be many things and some of the most common procedures that we perform are wisdom teeth or complicated tooth extractions, bone grafting, implant preparation and placement, implant restoration, implant supported dentures, full mouth clearances, full mouth makeovers and more. And, we do this all in our #spa-inspired practice, with no referral or specialist fee required.
Did you know that our surgical operatories are set up with the same type of airborne infection control systems that are used by advanced hospitals in Canada? That’s right, we were the first dentist in BC to utilize the Canadian Standards Agency’s Canadian Healthcare Facilities Airborne Infection Isolation Room HVAC guide!
To further make it easy we’ve got oodles of free parking right out front so that you don’t have to start your visit battling traffic! We are open late, and 7-days a week, so that we can find a time that works for your schedule, not ours.
Sometimes it takes a little sedation!
As prescribed by our team of doctors, we utilize nitrous or laughing gas, oral sedation (a pill taken before your visit) or full conscious sedation, assisted by a Registered Nurse. With this level of sedation, you are still awake, however are not generally lucid or fully aware of the state of your surgery. Even Chuck Norris can breathe a sigh of relief!
We offer and have available by prescription Platelet Rich Fibrin Therapy or PRF Therapy to assist with and reduce healing times, and naturally reduce post-operative inflammation. One of the newest techniques in modern dentistry, we harness the power of your very own stem-cells, present in your blood, and put them to work for you.
Visit us 24/7 for information and online booking at www.caredental.ca. Or, call us at 778-484-2256. We are always accepting new patients and look forward to hearing from you. Care Dental, the dentists that you’ll look forward to safely visiting.
