Training day! This last 6-weeks your Care Dental team has been busy getting ready for our May 7 reopening. Weve not only renovated to become BC’s first and only dental practice that meets CSA Z8000-18 HVAC Airborne Infection Isolation Standard, weve created 4-layer aerosol containment and elimination strategy. Wow! Our team has been training both online and in-practice, with zoom sessions, respirator fit testing, donning, doffing, new Health Canada guidance compliant infection control modules, wow! So busy! We’ve even caught the attention of UBC, who wants to study and quantify how our system can reduce the incidence of upper respiratory tract infection, not just during COVID-19, but in subsequent flare ups, flu season, etc. One day what their research uncovers could change dentistry forever!? Pictured above is one of our in-practice dry-run sessions. We are drilling before you arrive, so that May 7, nothing gets missed, and both you, us, and your family is protected. Care Dental is open May 7, during the COVID-19 pandemic and is listed as a BCDA emergency and urgent care center. Hurry, the demand for service is significant!
